Local coffee roaster Out of the Grey Coffee, which is also launching at www.OutOfTheGreyCoffee.com, was recently selected to provide a curated selection of fresh roasted coffees at Gannon University’s Café 900, which is located in the lower level of the University’s Center for Business Ingenuity at 900 State Street in Erie.
The company, which began with and also runs a popular coffeehousecafé in nearby Fairview, views the opportunity to provide special blends for a new clientele in downtown Erie as a logical extension of its business.
“We are pleased that Gannon University and Metz Culinary Services have entrusted us to provide fresh-roasted, high-quality coffee in the new Café 900 location,” stated Jack Barton, Out of the Grey’s founder and Revolutionary Roaster. We cherish our relationship with this great University, and Metz is known for its quality and attention to detail, so this is a very special accomplishment for our growing brand.”
According to Barton, the café location serves students, faculty, local businesspeople and downtown residents, and nearly 20 companies from the University’s Erie Technology Incubator. As an entrepreneur himself, Barton couldn’t help but comment that “When you think of startup businesses, you have this stereotype of entrepreneurs working long hours and drinking great coffee! We’re certainly pleased that they can now enjoy Out of the Grey Coffee in their office building!”
Each week, the selection of coffee at Café 900 will vary based on customer preferences, and the quality is identical to what the company offers through other channels. “Our name is on every bean, and we want the customers here at Café 900 to enjoy the best cup of coffee in downtown Erie. We’re building our business based on quality and customer care, and this beautiful new location is another great place to hear customer feedback as we continue to search the world for new roasts that set us apart!”
