Think rich, dark cocoa first, then a smoky finishing with earthy flavors. It takes a Master Roaster to accomplish so much flavor. Out Of The Grey has, hands down, the BEST coffee in the business! Be warned after drinking this coffee, everything else will taste like black crayons dipped in boiling water.
Absolutely LOVE how this coffee brings dark notes in the cup but still manages to be sweet and smooth at the same time. Dark chocolate and tobacco notes that have no bitterness at all. Are you looking for something different in your cup? Try this incredible blend for sure!
My coffee connection with ootgCoffee has increased my attachment to fine coffee and appreciation for cultural geography. I've become a vicarious explorer. Rwanda is landlocked in central Africa, previously noted for "Gorillas of the Mist", and recently engaged in reconciliation and reconstruction. This coffee collective has contributed to this rebuilding.
Rare and unique, single, loner beans, rather than the typical dual beans of the coffee plant. Stand-alone soloist, red pellets ready to grind. The aroma was distinct, more like dried roots than the typical dark and earthy roast I consistently drink. Fresh pressed, medium body, perfect acidity, wine like smoothness, and a sweet finish characterized this cupping sensation.

Gently bright, citrus-and-berry character with distinct floral suggestions as well. A dark chocolate note emerged clearly and surprisingly in the finish. Citrus, chocolate and flowers all carried throughout.
I've tried many of the different wonderful coffees from around the world which are offered by Out of the Grey Coffee. This is one of my absolute favorites! My search for the best coffee roaster is finally over.
